The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis maintains 83,000+ economic time series. This is the authoritative source for US monetary policy, interest rates, and macro indicators.
All API responses are cached for 24 hours on the server side to respect free-tier rate limits and ensure fast load times. Economic indicators are updated annually by their sources — hourly polling would be wasteful. FRED macro data (interest rates, CPI) refreshes every hour to catch monetary policy changes.
